There is no greater love than the one that withstands the test of time. In the case of Benjamin & Mae Tharp, their love lasted a beautiful fifty five years, until death did them part. After a life of architecture, Benjamin and his bride moved onto an acreage property that is now a part of NCA Legacy Ranch. Inspired by his life designing breathtaking structures and the untamed nature that now surrounded them, he and his wife Mae set out to restore buildings that they had come across, some dating as far back as almost 200 years! Their impact on Montgomery county lives on long after their passing; Three of the buildings that they restored are on display today in Montgomery, Texas. They spent their time restoring these homes while living in a humble tree house overlooking Mound Creek just north of the ceremony site on NCA Legacy Ranch, and in devoting their lives to this work, they truly made it a labor of love. The Tharp’s love echoes on in the Chadwick’s 25 years of marriage, and will continue to live on in every couple that says ‘I do’ within these woods.
As for the ceremony site itself, the vision is nothing short of a fairytale. Every detail, from the direction the sun hits at all hours of the day, to the trees that envelop your surroundings, has been thought of to create an unforgettable experience for your special day. To stay true to the atmosphere of a wedding in the woods, the ceremony site will be adorned with hand-crafted cedar benches that can seat up to 225 guests, and the center aisle will be laid with beautiful fine sand, making the journey to the altar an effortless one. There are plenty of options for sound, live streaming & even umbrellas are available upon final agreement with your venue coordinator. The only thing left to say is YES to your happily ever after.
